Being invited into this moment in your family's history is both an honour and a privilege.

 

Entering the world of birth as a professional is a natural fit for me.  In the past I have worked with families in a social work setting, and have rich experiences birthing and parenting my own three children. Supporting and educating women and families about their rights and choices in birth and postpartum I consider a privilege.  I believe in honouring a woman’s instincts.  Therefore my role, whether it be during labour or postpartum, is to offer choices and to listen.  As an educator, I hope to bring the most up to date evidence based research to your family so that you can make informed decisions in regards to your care. 

 

My Credentials
 

 My path is one of life long learning, however all of my professional birth education has happened through the Douglas College Perinatal Program.  My training includes :

  •  Birth Doula
  •  Postpartum Doula
  •  Lamaze Childbirth Educator
  •  18 Hour Breastfeeding support
  •  Infant CPR

I am a member of the Doula Services Association of B.C.,and am in the process of certifying with DONA International, (the International Regulatory body for Doulas), and  Lamaze International.
